Beltane Graphics Contest now open!!

"Feel The Music" is the theme for Beltane 2009.
Graphic must be of a nature that may be shown or worn in Public (PG).
Any art form is acceptable, images, graphics, mandalas,fractals, photo art. montage, what ever the artist feels promotes the basic theme of the event.
You must certify the work is your own and agree to allow CMA to use the images for the benefit of the organization with out time limit. The artist will retain copyright for use in other venues if they wish. Artist credit will be noted in any format where CMA uses the image. A written agreement will be provided giving CMA copyright use authority.
These images will be screen printed so please avoid very fine lines or fine detail in your submission. Fine detail does not screen print well on T Shirts.
The maximum presentation size for hard drawn art should be approximately 12inches wide and 14 inches in length. Digital mid size should be no less than 8 x 8 inches to keep clarity of the art during any resizing.
Hand drawn, ink or hand colored images must be "scan ready" which means no pencil marks, smudges, etc (finished art work) when submitted for final on a clean white background. Do not fold art, it may be sent flat or rolled in tube by mail.
All electronic forms must be in a vector controlled graphic, .tff or bitmap format. JPEG images are not acceptable due to distortion and compression issues. Do not compress and email images, burn to a cd or dvd and mail to us please. Color optimization should be in CMYK preferably, RGB color is acceptable but there may be a slight color shift in the final printed media.
Judging will be held January 1, 2009 with the winner announced on January 17, 2009 at the transition meeting. Immediately following on the website.
Prizes for this contest include 2 passes to Beltane 09 and 2 T shirts with your image.
This contest is open to everyone whether a current member of CMA. If not a current member you will be able to acquire a membership as part of the prize.
Your contact for the contest will be the Media Manager, Rain and all submissions will be held by her for safekeeping before judging. Questions or help regarding the image requirements may be directed to the media manager.
